I’ve got a few portable tools that I use for maintaining my board when I’m on the mountain. If there’s one thing that seems to be common denominator among all of them, it’s that they leave a big bulge in whatever pocket they might be in. The Snowboard Carabiner was appealing specifically for this reason, and I’m more than impressed with the outcome.
If there was one reservation that I had about using this thing, it was that it would be extremely difficult to use on the mountain. But to make this thing even awesomer than it already looked, the carabiner features what they call “Glove On” technology, allowing you to use the tool without having to remove your gloves. I’ll tell you first hand, that this keeps your hands from freezing, and the tool is unbelievably easy to use.
Here’s what the tool comes with:
– #2 Philips head screwdriver with both 90 and 180-degree locking feature
– #3 Philips head screwdriver (perfect for bindings)
– 3mm Hex Wrench
– 4mm Hex Wrench
– Bottle Opener
Click Carabiner actually makes several oof these tools, each with a particular design for a different set of winter sports. I’m not going to do the research on their differences, because all I need is one for snowboarding.
The best part of the carabiner tool is the design. The flat design allows it to sit flat in your pockets. If you don’t want to keep it in your pockets, it’s super useful for hooking on your jacket, your boot or snowboard pants. Ultimately, it takes the bulkiness out of the tool you keep on hand, and gives you a bit more freedom to keep more important things in your pockets…whatever that may be is up to you.
I’m enjoying the potential of the Click Carabiner Snowboard Carabiner Tool. It’s simple, durable, and plenty convenient for enjoying a day on the slopes while being prepared for the worst of mishaps.[button link=”http://amzn.to/1MQ6x5w”] Buy the Snowboard Carabiner Tool on Amazon[/button]
